G-RAID MIRROR - How to configure in RAID-0

This guide outlines the steps required to configure a G-RAID MIRROR drive to RAID 0 mode in order to use the full disk capacity, i.e., without redundancy.

Please note: this process is data-destructive and cannot be undone. All data on the drive will be lost.

Configuration Steps

  1. Press and hold the power button for three seconds to turn off the G-RAID MIRROR.
  2. Unplug and remove the power cable.
  3. Set the DIP switches on the back of the drive to the desired RAID mode (RAID 0) by referring to below image.
  4. Use a pin or paperclip to press and hold the RAID mode set button.
  5. While holding the button, reconnect the power cable to turn the drive back on. Hold the button for 10 seconds.
  6. The front LED will blink rapidly to confirm the RAID mode change (if the LED dimmer is enabled).
  7. Unplug the power cable again.
  8. Reconnect the power cable to apply the RAID change.
  9. Format the drive after changing the RAID level to the recommended file systems:
    • macOS: Format in APFS
    • Windows: Format in NTFS
